Groupees offers artists variable promotional programs including Pay What You Want payments, charitable giving, cross-promotional bundles and custom virtual giveaways. They use twitter and facebook to virally promote the flash sales. 

Go Girls Music

GoGirlsMusic.com is a unique organization that focuses on advancing the careers of independent female artists. Founded in early 1996, the organization works tirelessly to help artists through education, networking, and events like the GoGirlsMusicFest, Invasion of the GoGirls during SXSW, GoGirls @ Folk Alliance and more. Artists who become involved have the opportunity to perform, have their work reviewed, and get involved with a hardworking group of women who "get things done" in the music scene.

BandSoup

A cool spot to share your music and be heard.  Easy to navigate, BandSoup is another avenue to get your stuff out there, and also hear what others are doing.  We heard all ranges of talent from beginners to seasoned singer/songwriters and each song had the artists link to checkout if we wanted more.  In addition, seems they support their members and will post video or photograph from recent shows,...maybe even do a write-up.

Qtrax

Location: New York, NY 10016
Qtrax is a free and legal peer to peer digital music site. Music fans can download music for free. The artists and record labels get paid thru an ad supported revenue sharing program targeted to the music fans. Artists or labels that own their own music can email them at publishing@qtrax.com to discuss how to get your music on the site.  

MyBandsMusic

MyBandsMusic offers Indie Artist  digital and physical distribution of their music, announcements, fan communications, blogs, reviews, charts, video posting, etc. No upfront cost and the artists retain 100% of their download and CD sales fees. They ask that artists send 5 CDs for distribution and when a sale is made they will take the $2.98 charge for Shipping & Handling right off the top of the pay pal payment then ship the CDs on your behalf.

Recently reinvigorated, the new Myspace offers a great way for bands to engage with fans and direct listeners to streaming and downloading.
